Privacy Policy

The operator of FastTradein named in the Operator details section is the controller of store account data and of messages sent to us. Contact: support@fasttradein.app. For the personal data of people who sell a device to a store, that store is the controller.

FastTradein is a multi-tenant SaaS. Each partner store keeps its trade-in requests, customer data, and pricing in an isolated environment. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.

On the public site we collect what you send through the contact form (name, email, phone, company, and message) and, if you try the demo widget, the name, email, and phone you enter there; demo requests are deleted within 24 hours. For the contact form and the widget’s “Report a missing model” form, we also store the sender’s IP address to protect these forms from abuse. Messages from these forms and the sender’s IP address are kept for 14 months and then deleted. We process this data to answer you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and in our legitimate interest in keeping the forms safe (Art. 6(1)(f)). In the workspace we store account data needed to run trade-in (Art. 6(1)(b)): staff emails, customer contacts on trade-in requests, device identifiers, ID document details recorded at in-store intake, and handover-record fields. Workspace data, including support tickets, is kept while the store’s account is active and for 14 months after the trial or subscription ends. Then we delete it, or sooner at the store’s request. The address of a site that has had a trial is retained after deletion so that each site gets only one free trial.

Application data is hosted in Germany (EU). Access is limited to the relevant partner tenant and the platform operators who maintain the service. TLS protects data in transit. Card numbers and bank account details are not collected. The webhook secret is encrypted when stored. Server logs with IP addresses and application logs are kept for up to 60 days. Subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which receives the billing contact and payment details. Service email from the site and our replies to your messages are sent by an email delivery processor with a data center in the EU. If data is transferred outside the EU, the transfer relies on a European Commission adequacy decision or the EU standard contractual clauses.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, write to support@fasttradein.app. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law, including GDPR where it applies.

Cookies are described in our Cookie Policy. The session cookie and the language cookie are required for the site to work. Analytics cookies stay off until you accept them. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited and Microsoft Clarity from Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, to measure how the site is used. Visit data in Google Analytics is kept for 14 months. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time on the Cookie Policy page. These providers may process data in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
